DUNGA

The Partex Oil and Gas Group became a partner with Oman Oil Company (OOC- a company wholly-owned by the Government of Oman), in the development of a field in West Kazakhstan.

Partex Oil and Gas owned 50% working interest in the Dunga field Production Sharing Agreement and was operator for the construction, commissioning of the pilot phase operation of the field. In 2002, Partex and OOC decided to reduce their participating interests to 20%, respectively, through a farm-out to Maersk Oil Kazakhstan Gmbh, which became the operator of the field.

Dunga is presently in the second phase of the field development plan and exports to both the domestic and international markets. Plans are to expand development soon into its third and final phase.
