The Association for the Study of Peak Oil and Gas (ASPO) held its 4th International Workshop on Oil and Gas Depletion in Lisbon, Portugal, on 19th and 20th May, 2005.
It was organized by the Geophysics Centre of the University of Évora (Portugal) and sponsored by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation and the Partex Oil and Gas Group. The event took place at the Grand Auditorium of the Foundation.
Dr. Emílio Rui Vilar, Chairman of the Foundation and the Partex Group, welcomed the participants and delivered the opening speech.
Messrs. António Costa Silva and Fernando Barata Alves, respectively, Chairman and Member of the Management Commission of the Group presented a paper to the Conference: "Partex Oil and Gas: a Vision of the World Market and the Role of Gas as the Future of Oil".
Prof. Eduardo Marçal Grilo, Managing Director of the Group made the closing speech.
