Hydrocarbons were discovered at an exploration well in POT-558, an onshore field in the Potiguar Basin, in the Brazilian north-eastern state of Rio Grande do Norte.

The concession, which is held by Partex and Petrobras on equal participations, is operated by Partex.

The Company is presently conducting appraisal work in the well, to assess whether the discovery is commercial.
