Partex started its activities in Brazil when it was qualified by ANP - Agência Nacional do Petróleo - as onshore authorized operator, in Brazil Round 3, in 2001.
At present, Partex Oil and Gas Group participates in concessions associated to 10 blocks, onshore and offshore.
In the Potiguar basin, Partex has a 50% share in blocks POT-9, POT-513, POT-514, POT-557, POT-558 and POT-559. The other shareholder is Petrobras. Partex is the operator in all blocks except POT-9.
Partex is also 50% holder of each of the onshore blocks BT-ES-14 and BT-ES-T-527, located in the Espírito Santo basin. Petrobras is the owner of the remaining 50% share in both blocks and operator in BT-ES-14. Partex is the operator in BT-ES-T-527, the latest participation that the Group has acquired in Brazil.
In the Sergipe - Alagoas basin, Partex has a 15% share in the offshore block BM - SEAL - 9, in which Petrobras (the operator) has a 85% share.
In the deep offshore block BM-S-10 in the Santos basin, Partex has 10% participation. The other block holders are Petrobras (the operator) with 65% and British Gas, with 25% participation. The first well is presently being drilled and it already represents a deep offshore drilling record in Brazil, having reached a depth of more than 7600 metres, including a water layer of 2100 metres.
